Apple Introduces Apple Sports for iPhone with Live Scores, Stats, and Betting Odds

Every sports fan knows the struggle of finding the latest scores and stats for big games Especially if you follow multiple teams across multiple leagues, even popular destinations like the ESPN app can make it too complicated to see the information you most want to see In my case, I've decided to do a Google search for scores for each game

The Apple Sports app for the iPhone is Apple's new destination for connecting sports fans with what's going on with their favorite teams and leagues Real-time sports scores, play-by-play information, lineup details, and even live betting odds are all organized by the games you care about most in a clean interface

According to Apple, users have the option to turn off live betting odds in settings at any time Moneylines, over/unders, and spreads are displayed, but cannot be clicked on to place bets

Apple Sports supports scores and stats information for the NBA, NHL, NCAA, Premier League, and MLS In addition, Apple operates MLS Season Pass, an Apple TV-based streaming service for live soccer games and supporting content

When the MLB, WNBA, and NFL seasons return, those scores will also be available on Apple Sports However, there is no information yet on how or if Apple intends to position this new app with the Paris Olympics 2024

Assuming you have a team you follow in one or more of the supported leagues, you will be able to track live scores and organize your viewing preferences by league and team The live activity of your favorite teams will then appear on your home screen, and you can follow them during the game But if you explore the app a bit more, you can also see yesterday's scores and stats, today's game schedule, and projections for the rest of the week

The app is currently available for download from the App Store for the iPhone, but be sure to check out how to update to the latest iOS version, at least iOS 172 There are no Apple Watch, iPad, or Apple TV versions of the app at this time None, but all three would be a natural fit for Apple Sports in the future

Meanwhile, the Apple Sports app is integrated with Apple TV For all live matches, there is an Apple TV button that, when pressed, throws you into Apple's streaming platform If the game is available on Apple TV Plus (such as MLS or Friday Night Baseball), it is activated for immediate viewing If not, the Apple TV will direct you to a streaming app where you can watch that game

Apple Sports is supported in the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada, and supports English, French, and Spanish
