iPhone 16 design drawings posted on Twitter/X by leaker Majin Bu provide fresh information about major changes Apple may make to this year's iPhone models

On the front, there is one pill-shaped and one circular cutout on the display, the two parts of Dynamic Island This is not seen on the iPhone 15 model, which already uses this, as iOS has painted that part of the display black

On the back are two vertically aligned cameras, which appear to be the same main and ultra-wide combination as on the iPhone 15 Apple is rumored to be reverting to this vertical arrangement after several years of using diagonal cameras to allow for Spatial video Currently this is only possible on the iPhone 15 Pro, which already has its main camera and ultra-wide camera aligned vertically

Also, what appears to be a flash light is placed outside of the camera block by itself This appears to be a natural result of the block shrinking to fit more snugly around the camera lens

Looking at the edges of these drawings, one can see what appears to be the outline of a capacitive capture button below the power button on the right side This is a new button on all iPhone 16 models that will apparently allow users to take photos and videos more quickly than using the on-screen shutter button in the camera app

However, this could still be the mmWave 5G antenna seen on the previous generation iPhone A capture button is said to occupy its place, but whether this is true or not cannot be determined from this drawing alone

Elsewhere on the side, we see the familiar volume buttons, SIM tray, and what appears to be an Action button This is rumored to be on the basic iPhone 16 after debuting only on the iPhone 15 Pro model, replacing the mute switch with a more customizable button Between this and the capture button, there could be quite a few changes to the sides of the iPhone 16

These drawings cannot reflect the internal changes we are hearing from iPhone 16 rumors We expect that Apple may reveal more AI-powered features for the new iPhone through iOS 18 and we may see a bigger battery too
