Google Chrome gets three major upgrades to make browsing easier.

Google Chrome's search suggestions have received a major update and are available to users starting today.

Google's popular search engine is not difficult to use, but you may not always know exactly what you are searching for. Thanks to today's (February 29) update, three new features have been added to the search suggestions. Each update is described in detail below.

When you open a new Chrome tab on your desktop, the search box now displays suggestions that correspond to what you have searched for in the past, based on what other Chrome users are searching for.

In the example provided by Google, for example, a search for the Korean dish "japchae" could result in suggestions for similar Korean dishes such as tteokbokki, bulgogi, and bibimbap.

This update is for Android and iOS users. Previously, the search suggestions in the address bar only displayed images that matched the specific product you were searching for. But what if you want broader search results than a specific product?

Previously, a search for "isanti dining table" would show images related to that particular product. Now, typing in "bohemian table" will bring up a wide range of images related to that type of table. Again, if you don't have a specific one in mind, this could be very useful.

This last update should be useful if you are in a subway station or some other place where the signal is hard to reach.

Chrome on the best Android phones and the best iPhones has been improved with an on-device feature that shows search suggestions even when the Internet connection is poor. According to Google, this feature will also provide more helpful suggestions in incognito mode.

Today's update to Google Chrome's search suggestions is not earth-shattering, but it will be useful for people who have a rough idea what they are searching for. It's nice to see related search suggestions that may spark an idea you haven't thought of, or an opportunity to learn more about a particular topic or product.

This update is just getting started, so it may not appear right away. So check back later and try the update when it appears.
