If you were wondering what the OnePlus 12 would look like before its debut in China next week, don't be surprised anymore; OnePlus has given us our first official glimpse of the handset. And if you were a big fan of the OnePlus 11's look, you'll be quite pleased with how its successor's design is shaping up.

While the design is more or less the same as the OnePlus 11, the OnePlus 12 will feature a number of tweaks and improvements. These changes include a new textured back and the return of the alert slider.

According to OnePlus, this is to "provide enhanced antenna performance for gaming," improving signal by 3 dB and reducing latency by 15%.

The alert slider is a popular feature among OnePlus users, allowing them to switch between ring, vibration, and silent modes. It was originally removed from last year's OnePlus 10T, allegedly to save internal space for other components. It was not a popular move, but now the company appears to be changing course; the OnePlus Open launched earlier this year with the Alert Slider, and now it appears to be back on the flagship non-folding device.

The exterior design of the camera appears to be unchanged and will once again retain its Hasselblad tuning; OnePlus claims that it will feature Sony's new 48MP LYT-808 camera with a 3x telephoto periscope lens. It will also feature a 2K OLED panel with 2,600 nits peak brightness and Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.

RAM is said to be up to 24 GB, but this is only for certain models and maximum storage is expected to be 1 TB. Rumors say that wireless charging will also make a comeback, along with the debut of IR blasters and USB 3.2 data transfer speeds.

The OnePlus 12 is expected to debut in China on December 5, with an international launch in January. Currently, the exact date of its international launch is not known, but the company has confirmed (via Engadget) that this will be announced on December 15.
