Aventon Adventure2 Review

Aventon Adventure2 Review

The fat tire craze has been a staple of the mountain bike world for some time, and in recent years, huge rubber has been used on other types of bikes, especially electric 2 like the Aventon Aventure At first it seems like a gimmick: who really needs that much rubber to roll down the road

Aventure if the road is covered in snow, or if the road is not paved, or if the road is simply not maintained2 sparkles enough to answer that question Those big tires that go beyond the terrain it can tackle also have great advantages Comfort is also greatly improved

However, this is the perfect electric bike to get in and out of your job Read the rest of our Aventon Aventure2 reviews to find out

AventureThe price of 2 is$1,899 and can be purchased directly from Aventon's website If you want to break the cost to the payment, financing is available through affirmation

In addition to that, Aventon offers optional accident protection via ExtendThis will cover certain damages to the bike without deductibles Prices range fromド1,119 per year toド3,239 per year, and you can choose from 3 plans

Aventure2 is now available on the Aventon website which also features a dealer locator that you should prefer to buy in person

Fat tires tell part of the story: Aventure2 is intended to go anywhere in just about any condition The suspension fork with 80mm of transfer reinforces that concept Besides, aventure2 Comes with powerful hydraulic disc brake for reliable arrest force in all conditions

You can choose from 2 sizes: Regular for riders from 5'3" to 5'10", and great for riders from 6'4" to 5'10" Shorter riders can also opt for a step-through design that provides more clearance between you and the frame

Aventure, regardless of which size you chooseThe 2 comes with an 8-speed drivetrain, fender and integrated light In particular, the lights also function as turn signals and brake lights

AventureThe 2 is set up as a class 2ebike out of the box (providing assists of up to 20MPH) but can be set up for class 3 using the Aventon app (at 28MPH the app also provides the ability to record your rides and even share those rides with the Aventon community

All other adjustments can be made on the bike using a full color LCD display You can change the assist level using the buttons attached to the handlebar It is also where you operate the turn signal The throttle control is located just inside the button on the handlebar

The motor is built into the rear hub of the bicycle The torque sensor measures your pedaling input and amplifies your cadence This means that the harder or faster the pedal is, the more assists you get

AventureThe 2 weighs 77 pounds and you can see it right away before you start pedaling Steering the bike is a bit cumbersome

When you're riding up, the weight becomes less of a problem It's a super fun ride and those big, wide tires riding Avantur you can monster truck your way over a lot of obstacles2, especially in the snow, was fun because the large tires (with reduced tire pressure) provide plenty of traction and stability

The fender wraps well around the tire and turns off the load spray Aventur Aventur Aventur Aventur 2 is really for all conditions, and the bike certainly stood up to such a test The motor is strong and works quickly, easily powering the bike through mud, dirt, snow and pavement There is almost no lag between the pedal input and the motor engagement, and the throttle engagement is also faster, but the hair may be slower than the response from the pedal input

I was impressed by the Aventure2 Response to pedaling torque When you press down the pedal with more force, the motor kicks in with more assists, even for 1 pedal stroke It's an easy way to go fast when you're approaching a hill

Aventure2 The brake light and turn signal are equipped The brake light will turn on automatically, but this is a nice touch not found in most ebikes The turn signal is also cool, but I did not use it oftenStill, the light system is a huge advantage for urban commuters

The suspension fork is Avantur2 weakness It's not a bit of a particularly smooth feeling on the suspension, and ultimately, on large tires as they are, the suspension fork really means that bigger tires can run lower tire pressure, adding more than enough comfort and compliance to the ride Suspension forks are therefore just added weight and complexity for little real benefit

My test bike came with an optional rear rack It is installed in just a few minutes and feels stable Aventon doesn't include straps, so you'll have to find a way to secure your luggage, but it's a great place to tote what you're carrying

The battery is conveniently attached to the Avantur down tube2 It is removable using the included key That means you can pop up the battery for easier charging or storage

Aventon advertises a range of up to 60 miles per charge This will largely depend on the assist mode you use, which terrain you ride on, and other riding conditions If you just use the throttle without pedaling, Aventon says you can get up to 1 mile on 30 charges

My first ride on the Aventure2 was a 10-mile round trip I used a mix of pedaling assist and throttle and I kept the assist level to the highest setting (Turbo) By the end of my ride, I had worn the battery over 80% That is consistent with Aventon's estimated advertised range

The Aventon website has a large online store full of parts and accessories to customize your ride My test bike has fenders and Aventon sent me along the rear rack to test as well

If I requested another upgrade, it would be a front track that would allow riders to carry even more cargo forward

If you're after as much comfort as possible, you can even add a suspension seat post — as I mentioned, large tires at low pressure already add quite a lot of comfort and compliance

AventureThe 2 most direct competition is Velotric Nomad 1 Nomads also features oversized tires that make it appropriate for many surfaces from pavements to dirt and snow It also features a front suspension fork that feels largely irrelevant Although there are both nomads and avanturians2 is both a very competent and fun bike, and nomads are cheaper than less300 It does come with a nifty brake light and turn signal, however

Lectric's XP20 puts a unique spin on a fat-tire bike It also comes in a compact size folding package, while it is a multi-surface master You can fold your bike and easily store it in your apartment or other small space It is also cheaper than both nomadic and avanturian2 in 1 1,000

Avantur as a multi-surface commuter2 sparkles It can be easily rolled into soil, through mud and snow or just compressed on pavement The turn signal and rear brake lights provide a nice commute feature not found in many other ebikes on the market And the torque sensor makes for a wonderfully adapted assist experience

Aventure2 The biggest drawback is its weight and suspension fork If you will be carrying a bike to the second floor, Avantur2 may not be the best option for you The suspension fork, too, feels largely unnecessary, and the rigid fork (without suspension) may even shave a pound or two But overall, it's a very capable bike to get you in and out of the office — wherever that happens
