[This multiplayer shooter/RPG was going to be an interesting launch title, and the postponement definitely had several advantages for fans. First, there is the fact that it will probably be released in a more stable state. Second, there is a great demo that is now free to play. And finally, there is the fact that the game will be playable on Xbox Game Pass as soon as it is released on April 1.

The information comes from Megan Spurr, community leader for Xbox Game Pass; Spurr explained the basic details on the official Xbox Wire blog. Outriders will be available on Xbox Game Pass for Console and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate on April 1; it can be played on Xbox consoles and Android phones through Xbox Cloud Gaming (beta); Spurr said that for a limited time Spurr did not mention any sort of limited offer, suggesting that the game will be available for a long time to come.

Spurr then explained the basics of the game, which are covered in the Outriders FAQ, but just in case: Outriders is a cooperative shooter/RPG, developed by People Can Fly and published by Square Enix. Players choose one of four classes to play as an Outrider. Outriders are explorers on an alien planet who are given mysterious powers by a mysterious anomaly. You and two other players must explore the world, gather resources, advance the story, complete side quests, and improve your equipment.

What sets this game apart from similar titles is the tight shooting mechanics; People Can Fly has been involved with "Painkiller," "Bulletstorm," "Gears of War: Judgment," and even the first "Fortnite" It is not surprising considering that People Can Fly is also developing "Painkiller," "Bulletstorm," "Gears of War: Judgment," and the first mode of "Fortnite.

There seem to be only two potential drawbacks to the "Outriders on Xbox Game Pass" situation: first, many players who pre-ordered the game on Xbox may want to cancel their pre-order and play it on Xbox Game Pass instead; second, the game may not be available on Xbox Game Pass. This is a good thing. The game's developers have set up a Reddit thread to assist players in this situation, with instructions that are as straightforward as possible.

The second problem is that while "Outriders" is also available for PC, the PC version is not eligible for Xbox Game Pass. Therefore, if you want the PC version, you will have to purchase it separately, and your Xbox progress will not be carried over. Square Enix and Microsoft may or may not add the PC version of "Outriders" to Game Pass Ultimate in the future.

The game will then be available on April 1 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Stadia. It will also cost $10 to $15 per month for Xbox Game Pass.
