With the release date of "Resident Evil 7: Resident Evil Village" just 10 days away, Capcom announced that it has extended the availability of the final demo version by one week.

The news comes shortly after Capcom announced that the final demo would only be available for 24 hours, after the developer received backlash and criticism from many fans. The newly extended demo is scheduled to arrive on May 1 (5 p.m. PDT) and will be valid through May 9 (5 p.m. PDT), overlapping the official release date of May 7 by two days.

The studio has also designated a timeframe for the UK and European regions: from May 2 (1am BST/2am CEST) to May 10 (1am BST/2am CEST).

According to what is already known, the final demo of Resident Evil Village will take place in two key locations of the game.

PS4 and PS5 users have already experienced both the Village and the Castle in the 30-minute demos released over the past two weekends.

This time, however, players on all platforms, including PlayStation, Xbox, PC, and Stadia, will have access to the two main sections of the game for a full week. However, play sessions are limited to 60 minutes each.

The upcoming demo will provide fans of the "Resident Evil" series with a comprehensive look at the main game. In contrast, the previous demo, titled "Maiden," only featured an unnamed protagonist, not the game's protagonist, Ethan Winters. The plot is set several years after "Resident Evil 7: Resident Evil," in which Ethan miraculously escapes from the Baker family and the vicious Evelyn.

In Resident Evil Village, we are thrown into a gothic winter town and can expect creatures such as werewolves, zombies, and vampires, as well as Ethan, one of Resident Evil's most iconic characters, turning into a shocking villain.
