Xbox Series X can get exclusive Star Wars Games — Sorry PS5 Players

An exclusive Star Wars game may be in development for the Xbox Series X, which would give Microsoft's console a strong shot at competing with the powerful first-party games coming out for the PS5.

The rumor originated with YouTuber MrMattyPlays, who in a recent episode of his "Defining Duke" podcast, stated that the only Indiana Jones game scheduled for release from MachineGames is being developed for the Xbox He revealed that he had heard rumors that it was not a Lucasfilm game.

Earlier this year, it was announced that MachineGames, the developer of the latest Wolfenstein reboot, was working on an Indiana Jones game. Lucasfilm, of course, owns both the Star Wars and Indiana Jones franchises. Therefore, if another game based on the studio's work is in development, it is very likely that it will have something to do with a galaxy far, far away.

MrMattyPlays gave no further hints as to when we might learn more about the game or which Xbox studio is working on the title. Nonetheless, it is an exciting prospect.

The news not only comes ahead of the annual Star Wars celebration on May 4, but also comes on the heels of another rumor that the popular RPG "Star Wars: Knight of the Old Republic" will be remade for modern hardware.

The plot becomes more complicated when one considers that MrMattyPlays was the first person to circulate this story. Since it has since been verified by noted industry journalist Jason Schreier, it seems at least certain that the KOTOR remake rumor is true. If MrMattyPlays' information is correct, his latest scoop could also be on target.

Another Star Wars-related rumor that has been making the rounds lately is that a game based on the Mandalorian TV series is currently in the works. Perhaps the two projects are crossover and are actually the same thing. An Xbox-exclusive title based on the hit "Disney Plus" series would surely cause serious jealousy among PS5 players.

Microsoft has already confirmed that it will have a big presentation at this year's E3 show. Is there any chance that we will get confirmation of this mysterious LucasArts game then? Only time will tell, but reports indicate that we will definitely see "Halo Infinite," "Starfield" and "Forza Horizon 5" at this year's show.
