Waiting for Grog's return in "The Mandalorian" Season 3? With the latest news, you may have to wait a little longer Rumor has it that Din Jarin and Baby Yoda's next round in the sky will not be filmed right away, but will have to wait longer for its next chapter
The news comes from Collider, which has quite a reputation for this sort of thing, and credits an unnamed source for the scoop Specifically, The Book of Boba Fett is "a closely linked spin-off, basically what you would expect as 'The Mandalorian Season 25 If you ask us, that would be great, but it wouldn't feel as close without Grog (we're assuming they're saving that for Mando S3)
This also relates to the Obi-Wan Kenobi series on Disney Plus Disney appears to be staggering the filming of the three shows, with "The Book of Boba Fett" finished and the "Obi-Wan" series already filming on the LA stage
And while we don't know when Obi-Wan will end, it appears that The Mandalorian will be filmed next, with Collider's big claim being that production on the third season of Mando will not begin until late 2021 or early 2022 This means that "The Mandalorian" Season 3 will be released in late 2022
The delay of "Mando" Season 3 is also likely related to the HBO show "The Last of Us" with Pedro Pascal According to a casting call in Alberta, Canada, the show will begin filming in July 2021 (until June 2022!) Filming will begin in the beginning of the year How much of that year will Pascal be on set?
Pascal recently told Ewan McGregor (Obi-Wan himself) that a third season of "The Mandalorian" has not yet been filmed, giving us even more reason to believe this report
In light of the above, the above note about "The Mandalorian" season 25 makes more sense I am not sure how much longer we can wait for the return of Din Jalin to collect Beskar, as this show is going to have to tide us all over
The Book of Boba Fett stars Temuera Morrison (as Boba Fett) and Ming Na Wen (as Fenech Shand) and is scheduled for December 2021 The "Obi-Wan Kenobi" limited series, with Ewan McGregor reprising his role as the titular character, will take place 10 years after "Revenge of the Sith," with no release date set Filming began in April 2021 and is likely to be released in the spring/summer of 2022
