Die in E3 2021 Light 2 mixes Parkour and zombies

At the PC Gaming Show at E3 2021, Polish developer Techland released an inside look at its upcoming survival horror game, Dying Light 2: Stay Human.

Dying Light 2: Stay Human will be released on December 7, 2021 for PC PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S.

The game will be released on December 7, 2021 for PC PS4 and PS5.

Piotr Szymanek, narrative director of Dying Light 2, explained what players can expect from the game's story.

He began by describing the game's world. It begins in the fictional Middle Eastern city of Haran, where a virus has broken out. The virus turns people into zombie-like creatures that become violent not because of a thirst for blood, but because of pain and anger. The epidemic quickly becomes a global pandemic, infecting the city where Dying Light 2 takes place. The government attempted to bomb the city with chemical agents, but the situation only worsened.

In the game, the player takes the role of Aiden Caldwell, who as a child was used in medical research with his sister Mia. He was eventually separated from his sister and taken out of the facility and out of town while she was still there.

Aiden eventually finds clues to his sister's whereabouts and sets out on a journey to find her.

Not much was revealed other than the trailer and an explanation by Simanek. Fortunately, last month Techland released a gameplay trailer, giving us a glimpse of what we can expect.

Aiden is clearly no ordinary man. Not only is he bold and willing to jump off buildings, but he also possesses excellent parkour skills.

Aiden chooses which faction to join, and each takes a different approach to survival. At night, the monsters become much more aggressive and the paths players must tread change. The game is like a Mirror's Edge game with zombies.

If "Dying Light 2: Stay Human" impresses later this year, it could rank on the best PC games list.
