Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 4 will appear in the video with a new rendering - it looks stunning

Rumors that the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 4 will appear alongside the standard Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 may be true after all.

GizNext, in conjunction with Twitter user @OnLeaks, aka tech leaker Steve Hemmerstoffer, has released a rendered image. Both sources claim that the image is the successor to Samsung's Galaxy Watch Active 2, which features design tweaks and unique color variations.

In a video detailing the aesthetic changes of the Galaxy Watch Active 4, GizNext highlights the redesigned frame that allows for a seamless transition from the smartwatch casing to the silicone strap. The crown buttons also appear to have a new, unified shape; on the Galaxy Watch Active 2, one button was round and the other rectangular.

The Galaxy Watch Active 4 in these renderings also has a series of interesting colors. Samsung is known for matching the colors of its smartwatches to the colors of smartphones being released in the same season, and since the latest rumors indicate that the Samsung Galaxy Note 21 will not be released, it could be the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 palette.

The Watch Active 4 appears to be available in basic black, as well as silver and gold, with gray and yellow straps, respectively; according to GizNext, this rendered image is "not 100% accurate," but this time pink gold is no, and a sleek dark green option has also been revealed.

As for the size of the smartwatch, GizNext says the Galaxy Watch Active 4 will come in two variants, 40mm and 44mm; Front Page Tech's Jon Prosser previously said that the fitness-focused Galaxy Active Watch 4 will come in 40mm and 44mm models, while the lifestyle-oriented Galaxy Watch 4 will come in 42mm and 46mm models.

The larger flagship Galaxy Watch 4 is also rumored to retain the rotating bezel, but it is not seen in the new renderings.Samsung will release an Active version and a next-generation version of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 While it has yet to be confirmed, the renderings are convincing us that the launch of the former is imminent.

Of course, take these images with a grain of salt, as they are merely mock-ups based on rumors; we may get more concrete information from Samsung itself when it addresses the "New Watch Experience" during its MWC 2021 keynote. Samsung will probably spend some time on stage talking about the integrated Tizen and Wear OS software, but a hardware announcement is not out of the realm of possibility.

Google and Samsung have already confirmed that the upcoming Galaxy smartwatch will feature the revamped Wear OS.
