Nothing wireless earbuds start set on 7/27 - What to expect

Last time we heard about the Nothing Ear (1) wireless earbuds, the first product from Nothing, founded by OnePlus founder Carl Pei, they were slated to launch this summer.

And now we have a specific date, as Nothing has announced that it will unveil this mysterious badass set on July 27, with the Ear (1) supposedly "combining raw beauty and precision engineering," suggesting that it will challenge the best wireless earphones. It looks like there are only a few weeks left until we can see for ourselves. [Not much is known for sure about the Ear (1) yet, other than that it is a true wireless earphone in the vein of the Apple AirPods; features including the Ear (1)'s price and whether it will support additional common earphone features such as active noise cancellation There are also no hints yet about.

Designs are still only hinted at: Nothing released images of an early concept design, and in May posted a more abstract teaser of what appears to be the final design. So who knows if the earbuds will feature an AirPods-style stem shape or a more compact design like the new Sony WF-1000XM4.

Still, these are all details that should be revealed at the July 27 launch event. We can also expect a final release date, assuming that the ears (1) will not be available on the spot. London-based Nothing announced in a blog post that Ear (1) will be available at Selfridges, a locally based department store, but online sales information will likely have to wait for this event.

Nothing Ear (1) is scheduled to go live on July 27 at 9am EST/2pm EST. The exact time frame usually indicates a live stream or a recorded video release.
