The AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT graphics card may be very close to an official announcement and release, and may come in an ultra-compact single-fan design.

This is according to a tweet by regular tipster @KOMACHI_ENSAKA, which shows what appears to be a driver version for the upcoming card. In addition, an alleged rendered image posted by VideoCardz further confirms the release of this rumored graphics card.

According to TechRadar, @KOMACHI_ENSAKA screenshots driver references from a recent AMD Radeon software update, with the rumored Radeon RX 6600 and Radeon RX 6600M also are also listed along with the Radeon RX 6600 XT. Drivers have not yet been released, but even if they are listed with Love Software, it suggests that a full launch is not far off.

Meanwhile, VideoCardz claims to have received this render from a reader. It is consistent with the general styling of AMD's previous Big Navi graphics cards, such as the Radeon RX 6800 XT, but with much smaller dimensions and only one fan for cooling.

Render also suggests that the Radeon RX 6600 XT uses a single 8-pin power connector, which, coupled with its compact size, makes it more suitable for mini-ITX and micro-ATX PC builds.

During the CES 2021 showcase, AMD itself revealed that it is working on a single-fan GPU by showing an unidentified compact card design, but we cannot say for sure if this image is a legitimate leak.

That design was shown to be available in early 2021, but that has since passed, so the RX 6600 XT may have been delayed. The card shown in this new render is not identical to the CES 2021 design, but it is very similar and, if anything, even more similar to the already released AMD Radeon reference design.

It is also essentially an open secret that the Radeon RX 6600 XT is in development; in May, specs for both the Radeon RX 6600 XT and Radeon RX 6600 were posted on GPU-Z, suggesting that it is being tested.

This rendering may be indicative of what the Radeon RX 6600 XT will look like, but given the global GPU inventory shortage, it is probably better to try to purchase one of the many final partner card models.

The Radeon RX 6600 XT is expected to use AMD's new Navi 23 GPU with 8GB of video RAM. The aforementioned GPU-Z listing gives the RX 6600 XT a base clock speed of 1,692 MHz and a boost clock speed of 2,684 MHz. A mobile version for notebook PCs is also believed to be in preparation.
