A double header of Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 rumors may offer a glimpse into the design and price of the upcoming wireless earbuds.

First, reliable leaker Evan Blass tweeted an unposted but official-looking series of animations of the supposed Galaxy Buds 2 earphones and charging case. These appear to be identical to the design shown in earlier purported renderings, including white, purple, and green color variations.

Next, MySmartPrice quotes "anonymous sources" as saying that the Galaxy Buds 2 price could fall between €180 and €200.

It should be noted, however, that this figure is not entirely consistent with what we have heard previously about the Galaxy Buds 2. From the similarity in product code to the lack of active noise cancellation, the Galaxy Buds 2 appears to be the successor to the entry-level Samsung Galaxy Buds and Galaxy Buds Plus, but if this rumor is true, the ANC-equipped Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro with ANC, if this rumor is true. We are skeptical, to say the least.

Conversely, the GIF posted by Blass confirms the existing image, albeit with more detail. From inside the earbuds, we can see that this design includes an infrared sensor that may automatically pause when removed. Also, as noted above, this is not the first time we have seen these potential color options.

These images also support the notion that by at least aesthetically resembling the Galaxy Buds Pro, the Galaxy Buds 2 may seek to emulate its modern styling while stripped of features and offering a more affordable price. As MySmartPrice's sources claim, the alternative is ...... Does this mean higher costs but inferior functionality? This is also hard to believe.

Hopefully we'll get to the bottom of this next month, as Samsung's Unpacked event is reportedly scheduled for August 11. That's where we might see the Galaxy Buds 2 along with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Watch 4.
