Fully Rated: Call of Duty Vanguard and Keanu Reeves' makeover in Cyberpunk

"Totally Rated" is a program that presents reviews and opinions on hot topics in technology and gaming. Journalists and reviewers come together to give their opinions and thoughts on last week's trends.

After a year of delays and months of leaks, Call of Duty Vanguard is finally official, Far Cry gets a VR twist, and Keanu Reeves gets a makeover in Cyberpunk 2077.

TechRadar's Gerald Lynch got a chance to try Far Cry VR: Dive into Insanity:

"Far Cry VR: Dive into Insanity itself is very straightforward. [but the interlocking emergent systems of the Far Cry series are gone; there are no stealth skills, no taming animals, no crafting, no open worlds."

"Dive Into Insanity is a points-based, on-board shooter that has more in common with arcade classics like "Time Crisis" and "House of the Dead" than the free-roaming that one might expect from "Far Cry. Nevertheless, in the context of a multiplayer shooter, that is fine.

"What I wish TechRadar's six players had been a bit more ambitious about is the design of the environmental levels. Most of the time, you are forced to move from one shooting zone to another, such as an arena, cleaving enemies from a distance or getting shot at from a cave ledge or a moving cable car. It would have been great to take advantage of the three-dimensionality inherent in virtual reality to have a pincer-style surprise team attack.

"Despite these complaints, we had a lot of fun. And even though there were relatively few interesting level layouts to navigate, there was also a fair amount of exercise. Without getting too gross, we were drenched in sweat by the end of our 30 minutes or so of playing this game. The game can be played by up to eight players, but perhaps six is about right. Otherwise, you run the risk of running into your friends too often.

Cyberpunk released some free DLC this week, but is it enough to draw you back into the world of Night City?

The free DLC is included in the 1.3 patch currently available.

Added are a couple of nice new jackets for player character V and a new car skin.

The main highlight, however, is another look for Johnny Silverhand, played by Keanu Reeves. His new look can be activated from the "Additional Content" tab on the main menu, giving Johnny a freshly cut haircut and a black jacket with no buttons.

New episodes of Totally Rated are available weekly.
