Xbox Series X owners looking to become the next streaming sensation will be pleased to learn that Twitch broadcasting on the console is about to get even easier. This is due to an upcoming system update currently being tested by Xbox Insiders.

The update, noted by Larry Friberg, aka Major Nelson, will allow console owners to start a Twitch stream directly from the guide menu. This is a pretty big improvement for the console's streaming capabilities and will make broadcasting on Xbox a more streamlined experience.

With the new feature, you can start a live stream by going to the "Capture and Share" tab in the Guide menu and selecting "Live Streaming." From here you can select "Go live now" and instantly begin streaming the game action to people around the world via your linked Twitch account.

Currently on the Xbox Series X, if you want to start a Twitch stream directly from your console, you must download a separate Twitch app and start the stream from there. However, with this upgrade, the ability to start a broadcast has been integrated into the Xbox user interface.

Xbox Insiders in the Alpha Skip-Ahead ring were given early access to this feature this month. There is no word yet on when this upgrade will be rolled out to all Xbox players, but it is expected to be available to all players within the next few weeks. This feature will also be added to the Xbox Series S and Xbox One consoles.

This is not the only feature Xbox Insiders are currently testing. The latest Xbox update also adds the ability to play next-generation games on the Xbox One via cloud gaming. This feature could be quite significant, as it will allow gamers who have not yet upgraded to a next-generation console to experience games that require more power than the Xbox One's eight-year-old hardware.
