Right now Amazon is selling the Garmin Instinct for $169. The regular price is $299, so you save $130 with this offer. This year's Garmin Black Friday is full of great deals, but Amazon's Instinct offer is my favorite so far.

To be fair, I tested the Garmin Instinct while hiking and kayaking in Maine's stunning Acadia Park. Did that skew my admiration for this rugged sports watch? It might have. Still, when I returned from my adventure, I found this watch to be an excellent watch for everyday use.

I occasionally indulge in outdoor living, but not to the extent of pitching a tent in the wilderness or free-climbing huge boulders. But with the Garmin Instinct on my wrist, I felt like I could climb El Capitan.

Still, I did use the Garmin Instinct in my daily life after returning from my adventure. The Instinct remained on my wrist for quite some time, from recording my workouts at the gym to tracking my overnight sleep.
