First things first, Turkey Day is celebrated on November 25. No exact time has been confirmed yet, but if you want a giveaway that the event has begun, expert music will be playing on your island.

Another sign that the event has begun: a turkey called Franklin should appear outside Resident Services along with a cooking table. Many residents will be celebrating in this area as well, eating and drinking Franklin's food.

Talk to Franklin and he will ask you to help him gather the ingredients for his harvest feast. With these ingredients, you can create traditional Thanksgiving recipes and obtain specialized Turkey Day decorations and furniture. Up to 12 different Turkey Day furniture items and their recipes can be obtained.

Of course, it is not a simple task. You have to go far and wide to find materials by fishing, diving, or gathering. Furthermore, Franklin requires three to four main ingredients per recipe.

Why the hidden ingredients? Simply put, most are obvious and hidden flavors are implied.

Nintendo may introduce new ingredients this year, but here are the ingredients Franklin requested last Thanksgiving and how to get them:

Remember, if you can't get the above ingredients, you can trade them for fish at villagers' houses. The villagers will also help you decipher the secret ingredients.

Once you have the ingredients for each recipe (there are usually four recipes in total), take them to Franklin and he will reward you. If you succeed in guessing the secret ingredient and bring it to him, you will receive an additional reward.

Nintendo may introduce new recipes this year, but the full ingredients for each recipe requested in the past are as follows:

Doing so will yield a variety of rewards, from rugs and chairs to pots and hearths. Making the first recipe yields four pieces of furniture, which are non-craftable. If you guess the special ingredients, you will get eight more items.

All of your personal favorites, such as casserole pots, hearths, and wheat ornaments, are worth your time, as they are randomly obtained by guessing and supplying secret ingredients.

However, if you miss out on these "special ingredient" items, don't worry if you run out of time, as Nook's Cranny will be selling the Cozy Turkey Day DIY collection the next day! If you complete this event and find all the materials, Franklin will also give you a Cozy Turkey Day DIY recipe pack so you can make the rest of the bonus furniture.

Here are the possible rewards and which recipes you need to complete to get them. This list is subject to change as Nintendo may introduce new Turkey Day decorations again this year:
