Please note that Arc Gpus from Nvidia and AMD—Intel are shipped to PC manufacturers

Intel announced at CES 2022 this week that the first batch of Arc GPUs have shipped to OEMs. This means Intel is one step closer to re-entering the volatile GPU market to compete with AMD and Nvidia.

The fact that OEM (original equipment manufacturing) partners like Acer, Asus, Dell, Gigabyte, and Lenovo have Intel GPU technology in their hands means that the first wave of Arc GPUs (codenamed Alchemist) will hit the market in Q1 2022 means that we could see the first batch of Arc GPUs (codenamed Alchemist) hitting the market in Q1 2022 on schedule.

This is the roadmap that Intel showed last summer when it first announced that it would compete with AMD and Nvidia with its new Arc GPUs. These will be the first consumer-grade GPUs Intel will release since the 1990s, so it is exciting to see the company get back into graphics. Even more so since the ongoing GPU shortage has made decent graphics cards incredibly hard to buy at prices that have not skyrocketed.

Intel has confirmed that supplies are now available to OEMs and announced that gaming companies (including 505 Games, Codemasters, PUBG Studios, Techland, and Ubisoft) have committed to support the advanced features of the Intel Arc GPU

Most notable.

Most notably, Intel announced that Arc GPU's XeSS (Xe Super Sampling) AI-driven upscaling technology (which it believes is comparable to Nvidia's DLSS and AMD's FidelityFX Super Resolution) will be used in "Death The company has stated that it will be integrated into a number of games, including "exclusive integration" into Stranding Director's Cut. Developer Kojima Productions is also committed to optimizing its games for Intel's 12th generation Intel Core CPUs, which debuted last year and will be deployed through 2022. [When paired with Intel Arc GPUs and compatible Intel Core CPUs, performance will be enhanced, and the folks at Blackmagic Design have committed to optimizing their DaVinci Resolve video production software for Intel Deep Link, added a Deep Link Hyper Encode option.

Of course, we'll have to wait until the first Arc GPUs hit store shelves to see how much of a difference features like XeSS and Deep Link make, and how well Intel's GPUs stack up to the best GPUs from Nvidia and AMD.
