The best OLED TVs on the market aren't all from LG and Sony. Panasonic brought a new OLED model to CES 2022 that promises phenomenal sound, better AI optimization, and some upgraded gaming features.

Panasonic's LZ2000 OLED TV is the next-generation version of last year's JZ2000, and comes in 55-, 65-, and 77-inch configurations, making it the largest OLED TV Panasonic has to offer. However, it does not play a major role in Panasonic's OLED story. Instead, past sets have been all about audio, targeting the typical shortcomings of OLEDs with enhanced directional sound capabilities.

The LZ2000 continued the company's efforts with a built-in sound mode and overhauled the front speaker with beamforming technology.

High-end TV panels are known for being thin, making it difficult to cram booming speakers into the enclosure. Features like Samsung's Object Tracking Sound and Sony's Acoustic Multi-Audio have considered upgrading the on-board sound without forcing customers to purchase one of the best soundbars. Panasonic could offer the same convenience to potential customers by experimenting with enhanced sound technology.

As for video, the Panasonic LZ2000 supports both Dolby Vision and HDR10+ formats, adds ambient-enabled versions of these same formats, and with support for Dolby Vision IQ and HDR10+ adaptive, ambient light around the TV Adjusts HDR brightness according to levels. This is important for daytime viewing, where the visual effects of HDR are duller in otherwise bright rooms.

In addition to ambient optimization based on environment, Panasonic LZ2000 OLED TVs also feature an upgrade to automatic AI genre detection for image-based adjustments. The set uses artificial intelligence to change the ideal settings for the content being viewed, such as sports, movies, and games.

Speaking of gaming, Panasonic is pitching its best gaming TV in 2022. Panasonic plans to launch its best gaming TV in 2022. It will feature a settings overlay called the Game Control Board, similar to LG's Game Optimizer menu. The LZ2000 will also support NVIDIA GPU detection, improved 60Hz latency, and HDMI 2.1. HDMI 2.1.

The Panasonic LZ2000 OLED TV lineup is expected to be available in summer 2022, but pricing and where it will be available are unknown. Panasonic OLEDs will not necessarily be available in North America, but we will know more about their availability in the coming months.
