The Apple Earpods3 is reportedly to be launched on May 5

The Apple AirPods 3 are finally ready for launch and may appear in May along with the highly anticipated MacBook Pro 2020.

Jon Prosser, a regular and reliable leaker of Apple news, broke the news on Twitter. The two products were supposed to be released in March, a time when Apple tends to hold product launch events. However, due to complications from the coronavirus outbreak, the event was only rumored and never even officially announced.

The AirPods 3 (possibly called AirPods Pro Lite) will add some new features, but depending on whether a wireless charging case is required, it will be priced around $159/£159 to $199/£199 like the AirPods 2 Expect: the AirPods Pro's customizable chip would be a very welcome addition, but the new AirPods are rumored not to include the Pros' active noise canceling feature, which makes sense if Apple wants to keep the price down.

We may also see a new Apple H-series chip, the processor Apple uses in its wearables; the H1 chip, which debuted in the AirPods 2, will reduce power consumption, as well as Siri's hands-free digital assistant for using the wake words, allowing buds to hear them.

As for the new MacBook Pro, the 2020 refresh of the smaller model will feature the latest 10th generation Intel CPU and the display will increase in size from 13" to 14", reflecting the transformation from last year's 15" model to the 16" MacBook Pro This is expected to be the case.

What we are really looking forward to, however, is the addition of Apple's higher quality Magic Keyboard, which will replace the Butterfly Keyboard used on the past few generations of MacBooks.

Later this year, we expect to see Apple's first wireless headphones, possibly called AirPods Pro Max, and AirPods X, a fitness-focused earphone. These are currently expected around September, when the iPhone 12 is likely to arrive. These will help round out Apple's new broader audio strategy.
