A look at the list of video game release dates for 2020 shows that there are plenty of exciting titles coming out this year, from the samurai action of "Ghost of Tsushima" to the superhero team building of "Marvel's Avengers" to the " Cyberpunk 2077" to the dystopian exploration of "Cyberpunk 2077," there will be something to satisfy every gamer.

And with Sony and Microsoft's new consoles, the PS5 and Xbox Series X, slated to launch this holiday season respectively, there should be some particularly exciting games coming later this year. Currently, only a handful of games have been confirmed, but this could change rapidly. Microsoft and Sony will reveal their launch lineups sometime in the first half of the year.

In the meantime, we've combed through the rest of the year's confirmed release schedule and identified the big releases. The list includes a selection of highly anticipated AAA titles, fan-favorite re-releases, and promising titles from smaller publishers. The list will be updated regularly as more release dates become available.

One caveat, however: all of this information is subject to change: the spread of the COVID-19 virus has affected both supply lines and development schedules, and many games have been postponed. In other words, many games have been postponed, some indefinitely. The urgency of the schedule will depend on whether the PS5 and Xbox Series X debut on schedule.
