Ubisoft has stated that 30 fps will be the minimum target for "Assassin's Creed Valhalla" performance on the Xbox Series X. However, this information may be disappointing to some Xbox fans who are eagerly awaiting the game's release later this year.

Microsoft had previously advertised that the Xbox Series X would aim for the 4K 60fps sweet spot for a series of games, with other titles possibly achieving 120fps and supporting up to 8K resolution. Given that, some fans may be disappointed to see "Assassin's Creed Valhalla" running at 60fps.

Of course, "Assassin's Creed Valhalla" has the potential to be a very demanding game with lots of detail and large spaces for players to explore, which may put a strain on powerful consoles. However, the Xbox One X was able to run the very taxing "Red Dead Redemption 2" at native 4K resolution at a reasonably consistent 30 fps. However, we believe that Ubisoft is still in the process of optimizing their new game for the Xbox Series X, so it is quite possible that they will be able to extract even more performance from the console and run the next "Assassin's Creed" game at a smoother 60fps.

But this may at least be a sign of what to expect in terms of gaming performance when the Xbox Series X launches. As console generations mature, developers tend to get more out of their hardware. Still, I would like to see some spectacular games running at least 4K and 60fps that will make me feel that a new generation of consoles has arrived.

If you're an Xbox fan and have taken the wind out of this revelation, there's more good news. Despite the Coronavirus pandemic and the difficulties of telecommuting, "Halo Infinite" will launch as scheduled as a launch title for Microsoft's next-generation console, Xbox executive Aaron Greenberg reassured fans on Twitter.

So far, only two trailers for "Halo Infinite" have been released, and neither gives much of a clue as to what the game will be like or what the overarching story will be. However, Greenberg tweeted that the 343 Industries team is "cooking the fire."

This suggests that the game is in good shape, and hopefully we will see proper footage of "Halo Infinite" at Microsoft's exclusive July event.
