The war of words being waged between the Xbox Series X and PS5 development teams has been met with another confident word from the Xbox team, based on an interview with Microsoft's head of gaming.

VideoGamesChronicle reports (via GameSpot) on bold statements made by Xbox head Phil Spencer during the Gamelab Live conference. When asked what he thought of the recent PS5 unveiling event, Spencer said he was "impressed," but said he "felt good" about what Sony had displayed.

"As a competitor, it's great that they are there now and we can see what the program is, see the devices, see the games.

"Honestly, I felt good after seeing their show. I think the hardware advantage we have built shows up when they talk more about our games, frame rates, etc."

The hardware advantage Spencer is referring to is probably the higher computing power of the Xbox Series X compared to the PS5. Spencer also commented on the launch titles that Sony has prepared and again said that he feels confident.
