Samsung Galaxy Bud Live Leak reveals price, specifications and battery life

The Samsung Galaxy Buds Live had already been leaked from various sources, but now it has been posted (again) on Samsung's own website. This is on top of a series of new leaks confirming key features including the price and battery life of the new earbuds.

Those blister-shaped wireless earbuds you see above have been confirmed by Samsung's own support site. And since they're probably going to remove the page found by Phone Arena, we've taken a screenshot for posterity, below.

The Samsung Galaxy Buds Live entry is now live on regional Samsung support sites, including pages in Germany, India, the UK, and Malaysia, and we've pulled the screen below from the Indian page.

As you can see, the Samsung Galaxy Buds Live page shows the model number of the SM-R180, but does nothing more than confirm the existence of the product. A few weeks ago, a new listing for the same model number appeared on the Korean Galaxy Buds Live page, but the product name was not listed.

Another leak from WinFuture reveals new images and some key specs. According to the leak, the Galaxy Buds Live have AKG-tuned sound with 12mm drivers and weigh about 0.2 ounces each.

The earbuds reportedly last 4.5 hours with noise cancellation and 5.5 hours without, and aim to provide up to 28 hours of battery life total without a charging case. Finally, WinFuture has priced the new earbuds at $169.

Apple's AirPods Pro are priced at $249 and are rated at 4.5 hours with 24 hours of battery life without a case.

Samsung's digital assistant Bixby confirmed the product name this past Sunday (July 19), and Samsung Mobile's Twitter account teased "Experience the new power of sound" at the Unpacked event on August 5. That means we are just a few weeks away from the unveiling of Buds Live, which will be announced along with the Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy Z Fold 2, and Galaxy Watch 3.
