Samsung Galaxy Bud Live Leak Reveals how they fight AirPods Pro

Samsung's Galaxy Buds Live will use a wing-tip design to keep the beans from spilling out of your ears. Newly leaked renderings reveal how the upcoming wireless earbuds will be secured when in use.

A series of images shared by Ishan Agarwal (@ishanagarwal24) on Twitter Wednesday morning show the Galaxy Buds Live in Mystic Bronze and Black finishes from all angles. Earlier leaks proved that the buds look like kidney beans, but these may be the most realistic renderings we've seen yet.

That said, we can finally get a good look at the internal geometry of the Galaxy Buds Live.

This wing tip seems to be how the Buds Live fits without falling off when you are moving around or doing any kind of exercise. This security could also mean that Samsung is seriously trying to compete with the AirPods Pro in the active noise cancellation (ANC) market.

The AirPods Pro can make the world around it quiet thanks to the seal created by the fitted wingtips; if the Galaxy Buds Live can do the same while surprising us with a sub-$200 price tag, a wireless earphone showdown may be in the works. If Galaxy Buds Live can do the same while surprising us with a sub-$200 price tag, we may have a wireless earphone showdown on our hands.

Galaxy Buds Live is said to offer 4.5 hours of battery life with noise cancellation, 5.5 hours without the feature, and a total of 28 hours with the charging case. This is slightly more than the AirPods Pro, which has 4.5 hours of battery life, along with 24 hours with the case.

We should see this badge launch on August 5, along with the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 lineup and Samsung Galaxy Watch 3, during Samsung's "Unpacked" virtual keynote.
