Amazon Prime Day is set to take place in October, but if you can't wait until then, Amazon has the best headphone discounts this summer.

Currently, Amazon is offering the Echo Buds for $89.99. That's a $40 discount and the lowest price to date for Amazon's Alexa-powered wireless earbuds. This is the second time these headphones have gone on sale.

If you're looking for new earbuds, the Amazon Echo Buds are an excellent pair of wireless headphones, and in our review of the Amazon Echo Buds, we loved that we could use Alexa wherever we went. In fact, we found Amazon's digital assistant to be much more useful than Siri.

Like the Apple AirPods Pro, the Echo Buds are IPX4 rated to withstand sweat and light splashes. In terms of sound quality, they are not yet ready to compete with powerhouses like Bose and Sony (we found the volume levels to be on the low side), but they are not bad. Especially considering the current selling price. [Amazon has partnered with Bose for active noise cancellation in the Echo Buds. This technology does not provide complete silence, but it can reduce ambient chatter to a murmur. There is also an adjustable Passthrough mode that allows the user to change the volume of ambient noise.Echo Buds have a battery life of up to 5 hours, or up to 20 hours with the charging case.
