The Xbox Series S has just leaked from Microsoft itself — so where is it?

The Xbox Series S has yet to be officially announced, but even Xbox can't hide evidence of the new console.

Twitter user BraviaryBrendan (via T3) bought himself a new Xbox controller and found both Xbox Series X and Series S listed on an insert offering a free trial of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate

The text may not be visible in the image below, but the line reads: "Includes Xbox Live Gold and unlimited access to over 100 high-quality games on Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One and Windows 10."

The information is.

While it is one thing for information to be leaked by an employee or an obscure piece of software or website code to be leaked, the premature release of the console with a coupon seems like an interesting oversight by Xbox.

That said, there is not much we don't already know about the Xbox Series S. The Series S is positioned as a low-cost next-generation console option for Xbox, offering similar graphics power to the current Xbox One X, but with all of the same content as the Series X. However, that may only be true from a streaming perspective, as the Series S may eliminate the disk drive to save space and manufacturing costs.

The Series S concept is really interesting. While the Series X and rival PS5 are believed to cost about $500 or more, a less expensive option (about $400 or less if the rumors turn out to be true) would make many potential buyers wait to save money, console gamers looking to upgrade soon Allowing the Xbox to gain a large slice of the market.

But when will the Series S actually be unveiled, and there are rumors that an Xbox showcase event will be held later this month, which makes sense since the console is expected to launch in November.
