Forget Halo Infinite - Xbox Series X Launches with these Two killer games

The Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S will not offer "Halo Infinite" or "Fable 4" as launch titles, but will include two major third-party games.

"Assassin's Creed Valhalla" will launch on November 10, which coincidentally is the same time as the two new Xbox consoles. Also, "Watch Dogs: Legion" will be released in October, and Ubisoft has touted that an upgraded version will be available when the new Xbox consoles are released.

Both titles will be available on PC and PS5, as well as on current generation consoles, but will be released at the same time as the Xbox Series X and Series S, giving gamers two compelling games to play on day one.

We do not know when the PS5 will be released, but it too is expected to launch in November. However, if two major Ubisoft games are available when the Xbox console launches, it may tempt people to choose the Xbox Series X over the PS5.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla will center the Assassin's Creed series around the Viking invasion of Britain (circa 800 AD). Players take on the role of the Viking raider Avor, a man or woman, a warrior as well as an assassin, who seeks to establish a settlement in ancient England.

Speaking of England, "Watch Dogs Legion" is also set in England, specifically London. The capital of England has been virtually taken over by authoritarian organizations and corporations, and it is up to the player's character, who can be almost any NPC in the game, to fight back against the oppressive government of the near future.

On the Xbox Series X, both games are expected to run at up to 60 frames per second at 4K resolution. On the less powerful Xbox Series S, the games are still set to run at around 60 frames per second at 1440p resolution.

Those who do not want to wait for "Watch Dogs: Legion" to be released on the Xbox Series X or Series S can get it on Xbox One on October 29. Also, thanks to the Xbox Smart Delivery system, if you purchase a next-generation Xbox, you can upgrade to the next-generation version for free.
