Last year, Amazon sold over 100,000 laptops during Prime Day. Naturally, Amazon is expected to break this record again this year. And given the high demand for laptops this year, it is possible that even more aggressive Prime Day laptops will be available in the following days.

If you're looking for Prime Day laptop deals on gaming rigs, look to MSI and Asus systems, which tend to get the steepest price cuts from Amazon. By comparison, Alienware and Lenovo gaming rigs tend to be more discounted when purchased directly from the manufacturer. Dell offers discounts of 10% to 12% off sitewide, and Lenovo offers discounts of $100 to $400.
