Have you pre-ordered your PS5 yet? If you're very lucky and love fast food, you could win a free copy of Sony's next-generation gaming console thanks to a Burger King sweepstakes.

Earlier this week, we told you about Burger King's announcement of a PS5 startup sound, and speculated that it might be a hint at a possible game console contest. Turns out our speculation was correct.

As of October 15, customers in the US who take advantage of the two-for-$5 deal at Burger King have a chance to win a PS5.

Of course, there are a few hurdles for US Burger King fans to overcome to get a free PS5.

First, they must register on the BK app or BK.com to participate in the promotion. Once registered, you must purchase two $5 items or order a $5 or more fast food item from the BK app, BK.com, or in-store. By doing so, you will earn one game token.

Sony's PlayStation blog warns that if you make a purchase at a restaurant, be sure to keep your receipt, as you will need it to enter the tournament.

Once you have the game tokens, you can use them in a digital scratch-off game on the BK app or on BK.com. Just like a real-life scratch card, this card will tell you if you will win a PS5 console. Less lucky, but lucky enough, will win a PlayStation game code or a Burger King coupon.

The sweepstakes will run through November 22, so there is still a chance to win a free PS5 after the PS5 goes on sale on November 12; there is no telling how likely you are to win a PS5, so we can only hope you get lucky on your next Burger King visit.
