The PS5 and Xbox Series X will not be in the Best Buy store until next year

Thinking of buying either a PS5 or an Xbox Series X before the end of the year? If Best Buy is your choice, you'd better get ready to shop online.

Best Buy's blog explains Best Buy's response to the PS5 and Xbox Series X just prior to their release, and Best Buy says that you have a chance to get both products even if you did not pre-order them. However, Best Buy only accepts online orders, and it is not possible to purchase the PS5 or Xbox at a physical Best Buy store.

This not only covers the November 10 launch of the Xbox and November 12 launch of the PS5. Best Buy's physical stores will not carry either console throughout the holiday shopping season." In other words, you don't have to shop at your local store, just check BestBuy.com from the comfort of your home.

When ordering online at BestBuy.com, you can choose how you want to receive your new Xbox Series X or PS5. Best Buy offers curbside pickup as well as in-store pickup.

With the ongoing coronavirus outbreak, online retailers are probably the best bet for shopping for many electronic devices, especially gaming consoles. Sony has already announced that all retail partners will offer the PS5 online on launch day.

We are monitoring where the PS5 and Xbox Series X will be available ahead of next week's launch; both the PS5 and Xbox Series X are priced at $499, but each console manufacturer will offer the PS5 Digital Edition ($399) and Xbox Series S ($299), which are sold in separate versions.
