PS5DualSense Controller can have this awesome bonus feature

The PS5 DualSense controller, which will be available with the launch of the PS5 console next week, looks quite intriguing. Not only does it have an attractive form and design, but the DualSense's Adaptive Trigger feature and haptic feedback seem like a great way to interface with a variety of games.

But there is another surprise DualSense controller feature. Apparently, the white plate on the front of the controller can simply be removed and replaced.

YouTuber John Glasscock has published a video on his channel that explores several aspects of the DualSense controller that many may not have known about, including the mute button on the front of the controller and the aforementioned discovery that the black part of the controller can be easily removed The video explores several aspects about the As you can see from the editing of the effort Glasscock put into it, it takes a bit of work

You can see that the black part of the plate has been removed from the DualSense controller, leaving only the anchor point attachments. This is to show how the plate can be removed and replaced with something else, like a new colored faceplate or other custom item. Removing the black attachment reveals the inner shell of the controller.

Based on this observation about the dual-sense controller, it is possible that Sony or third-party creators will offer some customization to this part of the input device.

This interesting tidbit comes after Sony's decision to have third-party manufacturers immediately stop production of customizable PlayStation 5 faceplates. All pre-orders for the faceplates were cancelled.

Sony has not confirmed anything about a removable controller faceplate; the PS5 will not hit store shelves until November 12, so we will have to wait and see if customization options appear after that date.
