PS5 has great new features that Xbox Series X can't match

The PS5 comes with a number of fancy features, including 3D audio and adaptive triggers, but one of the most useful new features may have been revealed by accident.

PushSquare discovered the feature, dubbed "Game Presets," in a "Recommended Settings" video published by PlayStation Support's YouTube channel. This menu is not actually featured in the video, but if you pause the video around 2:27, you can see what options can be preset.

In recent years, games have made options like subtitles available before the game starts, in a similar fashion to the old difficulty selection screen, in order to allow the player to make adjustments before the first cutscene is played The PlayStation video specifically The PlayStation video shows exactly how to do this.

Other adjustable options include different presets for first-person and third-person games, presumably both of which offer a choice of camera controls for these two styles of gameplay. They can also switch between graphics performance and resolution modes, depending on whether one generally prefers a higher frame rate or cleaner visuals.

This is definitely an addition that Sony has put a lot of thought into. We must now hope that developers will arrange the options menu to be compatible. This is also something not yet seen in the Xbox Series X or Xbox Series S, and will give the PS5 an edge over its rivals in third-party games.

Many existing games have announced their transition to the new generation of consoles with refreshed graphics and other improvements. And the latest to announce changes for the PS5 (and Xbox Series X/Xbox Series S) is Warframe.

This multiplayer game featuring wall-running space ninjas has been popular for several years, and developer Digital Extremes announced the following via the Warframe website 4K/60fps support on both consoles and significantly reduced load times.

However, this is only the first phase, and DE plans to overhaul textures and rebuild dynamic lighting down the road, which will not only make the game look better, but also reduce the size of the game stored on the console's SSD. PS5 and Xbox Series S are both concerned about the small size of their SSDs, which is an important factor.

Also, for PS5 users, support for adaptive triggers on the DualSense controller (with plans to add haptic feedback functionality) and an activity menu that allows users to quickly start specific in-game challenges from the main menu, Several unique additional features will also be offered; DE said it will announce more details about the Xbox Series X version "soon," so stay tuned for an announcement on whether or not unique features will be added to Microsoft's gaming console.

The PS5 will be available starting November 19 and is currently available for pre-order.
