If you've been following our article on where to buy the Xbox Series X, you know that for the past few weeks it has been nearly impossible to get your hands on the next-generation console. However, there is good news.

Currently, you can purchase the Xbox Series S at Walmart for $299. This is the regular price for the console alone, and it is the only store that has it in stock and ready to ship. It won't be available in time for Christmas, but that doesn't change the fact that the next generation console will be with you until 2021.

In our review of the Xbox Series S, we noted that although less capable than the Xbox Series X, the Xbox Series S is still an impressive gaming console.

Certainly, games look better on the more powerful Xbox Series X, but characters, backgrounds, and items are rendered brilliantly on the Xbox Series S as well. In "Yakuza" Furthermore, the frame rate did not drop significantly on either platform.

In general, the Xbox Series S upscales content to 4K with aplomb. And if you have a 1440p display, upscaling is not necessary at all.
