Epic Samsung Galaxy S21 and S21 Plus Leak just revealed all specifications

The release of the Samsung Galaxy S21 next month leaves little to the imagination, especially after details about the upcoming flagship phone were leaked. However, it appears that it may be possible to purchase Samsung's latest model at a discount.

This comes from WinFuture, which recently posted a detailed description of what to expect from the Galaxy S21 Ultra, the largest member of the S21 lineup being prepped for a rumored January 14 release. WinFuture has a pretty good track record when it comes to leaking accurate specs, so this latest news about the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21 Plus is worth paying attention to.

And we sincerely hope that this leak is correct, as it suggests that Samsung's latest models will be slightly cheaper than the Galaxy S20 model that debuted this past February; taking the Galaxy S20 as an example, the starting price in Europe is expected to be €849. (That's roughly $1,042 if you translate the exchange rate as is, but phone makers rarely do that and adjust their prices for specific regions.) To put this price into perspective, the Galaxy S20 is currently available on Samsung's German site for 974 euros.

Similarly, the Galaxy S21 Plus is expected to cost €1,049. This is a slight decrease from the €1,071 that Samsung is charging for the Galaxy S20 Plus in Germany.

No one knows what these rumored prices will mean for the final price of the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21 Plus in the US. However, it seems that Samsung may be putting the rumors of cheaper prices for its next flagships into action in order to compete with Apple's phones, where the iPhone 12 can be purchased starting at $799.

As for the other specs in WinFuture's report, they are very similar to what we have heard from previous Galaxy S21 leaks: the S21 and S21 Plus are very similar, sharing the same Snapdragon 888 system-on-chip in the US version. On the back is a 12MP ultra-wide camera with a 120-degree field of view and a 12MP main shooter supported by a 64MP telephoto lens with a 3x optical hybrid zoom.

Where the two Galaxy S21 models differ is in size and battery; according to WinFuture, the S21 will feature a 6.2-inch Full HD+ AMOLED screen, housed in a 6 x 2.8 x 0.31-inch frame, and weigh just over 6 ounces. The Galaxy S21, on the other hand, will feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED panel with the same resolution. It measures 6.4 x 3 x 0.31 inches and weighs 7.2 ounces.

Both models offer displays with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, but only the Galaxy S21 Ultra has adaptive refresh rate.

As for the battery, the Galaxy S21 has a 4,000 mAh power pack, the same size as the Galaxy S20; WinFuture reports that the Galaxy S21 Plus has a larger battery than the previous model with a 4,800 mAh capacity. This is consistent with previous rumors about both models.

We won't have to wait long to see how accurate this leak is. Rumors suggest that Samsung will hold its first Unpacked event of 2021 on January 14, and that the Galaxy S21 phones will be in stores by the end of the month.
