PS5 and Xbox Series X games are even better on Vizio TV

Having a next-gen console is great, but it all depends on having a TV that can handle all the updated visuals. Because the best ones need more than 4K resolution and HDR.

Thankfully, Vizio's latest update helps the company's TVs keep up with everything the PS5 and Xbox Series X can do and get the most out of your TV.

The latest update applies to Vizio's OLED TV series and the P-Series Quantum and Quantum X models, which will be available in 2021. All of these TVs have an HDMI 2.1 port, which more than doubles the bandwidth of the much older HDMI 2.0 port. Specifically, this means that TVs can support up to 10K resolution and up to 120 fps.

This will be a huge bonus for PS5 owners. This is because the PS5 does not currently offer variable refresh rates. Xbox Series X users will also be boosted by the system's support for variable refresh rates and improved audio support.

For PC gamers, support for Nvidia graphics cards running at 4K 120fps has also been added, as well as variable refresh rate improvements for those lucky enough to get an Nvidia RTX 3080 graphics card.

In other words, regardless of your system, Vizio's new update will make games display very smoothly. That is, of course, if the game in question supports 120 fps.

But that's not all. The patch notes also mention separate IR codes for HDMI inputs, improved AV receiver support, and various other small improvements that make life easier.

In short, the gaming experience on Vizio TV will be better. And if you already have the right model, you won't have to buy a new set to get it.
