The best new Robot Vacuum Cleaner in CES2021

Robotic vacuum cleaners are getting smarter and pricier, and at the 2021 CES, several companies unveiled this year's latest robotic vacuum cleaners. All of them have multi-floor mapping, virtual walls, and serious intelligence. This should make them better at avoiding cords and socks lying on the floor, as well as more efficient at cleaning up after you and your pets.

Not many new robot vacuums were announced at this year's CES, but all of the ones we saw have interesting new features. Here's a look at some of the robotic vacuum cleaners coming out later this year. Which one will make it onto our Best Robot Vacuum Cleaners page? We can't wait to try them out.

It's been a few years since Samsung introduced a new robotic vacuum cleaner, but the company seems to be hard at work. The Samsung Jetbot 90 AI+ uses LiDAR and 3D sensors, object recognition and Intel artificial intelligence to identify objects and navigate around them. According to the company, it can also detect and avoid pet waste. That remains to be seen.

Speaking of seeing, there is another camera on the front of the Jetbot 90 that can be used to monitor pets while they are away. In patrol mode, the vacuum cleaner patrols up to five different locations around the home.

Like the latest Roomba robot vacuums, the Jetbot 90 AI+ has a dustbin built into the charging dock with a disposable dust bag so it only needs to be cleaned once every few months. 30W digital inverter motor, HEPA filter, multi-room mapping, virtual exclusion zones.

The Jetbot 90 AI+ has a slightly different shape. The majority of the vacuum cleaner is traditionally circular, but there is a square wedge protruding from the front.

The Jetbot 90 AI+ is expected to be available in the first half of this year. Pricing is yet to be determined, but it will not be cheap.

We have tested a number of robot vacuums that also have mopping capabilities and were mostly underwhelmed. They usually don't perform either function as well as a stand-alone robot vacuum cleaner or a stand-alone robot mop; will the Roborock S7 change that? Perhaps.

This robotic vacuum cleaner vibrates its mop head 1,650 to 3,000 times per minute to scrub floors thoroughly. When it senses that it is on a carpet, it automatically raises the mop head and begins vacuuming.

S7 can memorize up to four floor maps, with room-specific cleaning and virtual mop-free zones. It comes in black and white and will be available on Amazon starting March 24 for $649.

Uphy will introduce two new robot vacuums, the Robovac L80 and L80 Hybrid. Both models use laser navigation to support multiple floor maps and can detect stairs and other obstacles. However, they each have a 2,000 pascal twin turbine, double that of many other robotic vacuum cleaners. This is twice as much as many other robotic vacuum cleaners. The result should be a significant improvement in cleaning performance and efficiency.

The RoboVac L80 is a vacuum cleaner only model, priced at $549.99. The RoboVac L80 Hybrid, which can also mop, costs $599.99. Both will be available this June.
