Bethesda is making the Indiana Jones game — here's what we know

[Bethesda released a short teaser for Indiana Jones.

The teaser ends with a reference to Lucasfilm Games and MachineGames, the game studio behind Wolfenstein; in a second tweet, Bethesda confirmed that both studios are collaborating on an untitled Indiana Jones game, with Todd Howard will serve as executive producer.

The game publisher teased us with a tableful of Indiana Jones references in a short video shared via Twitter:

Besides the first few notes of the series' theme song being featured in the teaser, Bethesda also showed off Indy's iconic hats, whips, and other casual hints packed into the short teaser.

Bethesda's teaser may be hinting that the upcoming game will be set in Italy, as plane tickets are clearly visible in front of a map of Rome and Vatican City.

Of course, an official name and specific release date have yet to be confirmed, and we do not expect an announcement anytime soon.

Bethesda is an American game publisher, known to many fans as the developer of some of the world's most successful game titles, including "Fallout," "The Elder Scrolls," "Wolfenstein," "DOOM" and "Dishonored."

It is clear that Bethesda made some very questionable choices in the development of the highly anticipated "Fallout: 76," but with Microsoft's recent acquisition of this game publisher, one hopes that future games will meet the expectations of fans.

Nevertheless, given Bethesda's new ownership and strong brotherhood with Xbox, many Twitter users are now wondering if the game will reach PlayStation 5 gamers:

As for the game's potential to cover existing There is no shortage of source material.

Indiana Jones is a popular film franchise that follows the adventures of fictional archaeologist Dr. Henry Walton "Indiana" Jones. The series was created by George Lucas in 1981 to coincide with the release of the action-adventure film Raiders of the Lost Ark "Ark of the Covenant" and follows the journey of Indiana Jones as he competes with a band of Nazis to find a powerful religious artifact.

The classic spawned a successful franchise, including the 1984 prequel "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" and the 1989 sequel "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade."

In 2008, creator George Lucas and legendary director Steven Spielberg teamed up again for the fourth installment in the series, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, which received lukewarm reviews to say the least.

The fifth and final film in the franchise is currently in development, with Harrison Ford reprising his iconic role. The untitled sequel is scheduled for release in 2022.

For Indy's (and our) sake, let's hope there are no snakes in this game.
