Nvidia GeForce RTX3060 Prices Soar Before Release - this is madness

It's not going to be easy to buy the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 when it arrives later this month.

Because even though it is still in the pre-order stage, the price of the $329 graphics card is apparently skyrocketing: according to VideoCardz, some RTX 3060 cards are listed for up to 50% more than their MSRP. For example, European retailer ProShop is selling this graphics card for €499 instead of the suggested retail price of €329.

Portuguese retailer PCDiga reportedly raised the price of the GeForce RTX 3060 by €100 within a week of its listing.

These price increases mean that the RTX 3060 will be as expensive as the more powerful GeForce RTX 3060 Ti. However, since it is very difficult to find places to buy the Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti, some frustrated PC gamers may simply swallow the price increase when the RTX 3060 is released.

In fact, it remains ridiculously difficult to find places to buy Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 as well as other RTX 30 series graphics cards. Therefore, this kind of profiteering, taking advantage of a supply shortage in the face of enormous demand, is to some extent to be expected.

We have seen PS5 duffers buying up Sony's new console inventory and selling them to desperate PlayStation fans for exorbitant prices. [Finding out where to buy an AMD Radeon RX 6800 or other RX 6000 series graphics card is also an exercise in deep frustration. And due to a lack of materials, this situation is unlikely to change anytime soon.

Frustrated gamers are advised to sit tight and endure these inventory mishaps. After all, all first-party Xbox games for the next two years will be avoidable on older Xbox One hardware.

If you have an Xbox One X, you should be able to enjoy gaming without encountering critical performance issues for at least another 12 months or so.
