Netflix is set to deliver an all-new comedy series in November, and it looks like a must-see for “The Good Place” fans.
Yesterday (October 28), the streaming giant released the trailer for “The Good Place” creator Mike Shure's new comedy series.
Instead of playing an afterlife architect, Danson stars as Charles, a retired professor who decides to reinvigorate his life by taking on an undercover assignment in his retirement community. It's a strange setup, to be sure, but it's sure to be a new slice of laugh-out-loud, feel-good TV, and the trailer for A Man on the Inside is below:
After setting up the mission, the film shows life inside the house! Charles has gone from being trapped in his routine to befriending his new neighbors and forming new friendships. The film looks to be lively and life-affirming, and we can't wait to see it in theaters.
Similarly, if you're excited to see what's in store for “The Inside Story,” you won't have to wait long anymore. The new comedy series will premiere exclusively on Netflix on Thursday, November 21.
“A Man on the Inside” is based on the Academy Award-nominated documentary “The Mole Agent” by Chilean filmmaker Maite Alberdi.
As you can see from the trailer, in Shure's fiction, widower Charles sees a personal ad from private investigator Julia (Lila Richcreek Estrada) asking for help.
She is looking for a missing heirloom and hires Charles to infiltrate the Pacific View retirement community posing as a resident to gather information on potential suspects.
In addition to Danson and Estrada, the cast includes Stephanie Beatriz, Mary Elizabeth Ellis, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Sally Struthers, Eugene Cordero, Margaret Avery, Susan Ruttan, and other well-known faces.
More.
