Amazing changes are being tested on YouTube's homepage.

YouTube is the most popular video site in modern times, with both shows and movies available for free. However, YouTube is not resting on its laurels and is constantly testing new displays and pages to improve its overall service. A recent post on X by user vidlQ revealed that Google is currently testing a new version of the homepage that removes the number of viewers and dates of videos.

Currently, the YouTube home page shows the creator's name, overall viewer count, and release date. However, in the shared image, the latter two are completely removed and only the creator's name appears below each video. No mention is made as to whether or not details are displayed while the video is playing, so it may be possible to see when the video was published and the number of “likes” s.

The original video is shown under each creator's name.

The original article has quite a few comments on this change, especially regarding the removal of the date. The problem is that for many topics, there are advantages to watching newer videos. For example, new information often significantly changes trend predictions in video games, not to mention videos related to politics. Others commend the removal of views, considering that many smaller creators are frequently avoided in favor of those with higher viewership numbers.

YouTube has made significant changes to the way it presents itself in recent months, adding a pink gradient to the progress bar, for example. Also, the ad skip countdown has been removed and replaced with a yellow line running along the bottom of the video.YouTube has also announced several new AI features were announced.

Note that YouTube is currently only testing these changes and it is unclear if they will be put into practice anytime soon.
