Proton VPN, one of the best VPN services, has announced the launch of its new Apple TV VPN application. Available now, the app allows users to unblock and watch content not available in their current location from the comfort of their living room, without having to install software on their router.

The app is available to anyone with a paid Proton VPN plan (Proton VPN Plus or Proton Unlimited). Users can access content from home, abroad, or while traveling, while protecting their privacy from Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and third parties.

After downloading the Proton VPN tvOS app, users can connect to servers in the country of their choice. The app is optimized for TVs, with large icons and designed to be controlled using a TV remote control. The app boasts all the privacy and security benefits found in Proton's iOS VPN app.

Based on Proton VPN's iPad app, Proton VPN has also announced compatibility with Apple Vision Pro, allowing users to protect their privacy at home or while traveling, at work or during gaming sessions.

Recent updates to tvOS mean that Apple TV devices will support the use of VPNs. This allows users to benefit from the data protection and privacy benefits of the Apple TV before it reaches them. Proton VPN is not the first company to launch a VPN specifically for Apple TV; many of its rivals, such as ExpressVPN and Private Internet Access, have already developed native software for the device.
