While today's wordle solution guide recommends the best wordle starting words as a strategy, Connections' solution depends on identifying the categories that are connected from the 16 words. The difficulty of each category is represented by a color, with yellow being the easiest grouping and purple the most difficult. Hints are helpful as the answer is displayed after four wrong guesses.

If you need a hint to solve the groupings, here are each theme in order of difficulty:

Here's a bigger clue: Today's puzzle is a literal one. Just incorporate feng shui into your mind palace and you'll be fine.

Now, what's the answer to today's game #512 Connection?

Drum roll please.

I first stumbled on solving the purple category, but not before striking out three times trying to connect Ego and Id with other words I learned in Psych 101. In the end it was a trap and I fell into it. Instead of thinking about Kant, I should have looked more closely at Kant and what he was missing. I was sure that the Connection Crew would not be so diabolical.

As a result, only Ego would connect with the other self-centered words we had tried before, such as Being, Character, and Self, which concludes the green category.

I almost tried Vanity in that category, but I stopped at the last minute when I realized that Wardrobe also still had clues left. As for the furniture, the chest and console were immediately recognizable.

The easiest categories became Furnish, Outfit, Provision, and Stock, which I memorized today.

Are you reading this late in the day? According to Connections Companion, the difficulty level was 2.2 out of 5.

I started yesterday's puzzle in the blue category. A long time ago, I was a pre-law major in my first year of college, so when I found Hearing, I was not fooled by the Connections Crew's trick of making tea with other sensory words like Touching and Feeling. When I looked for more legal terms, Inquiry, Proceeding, and Trial were easily spotted.

I thought that these clues, like Touching and Feeling, probably had something to do with each other, but that too proved to be a dead end. Instead, Touching was in the yellow category today, along with other heartwarming adjectives like Moving, Sweet, and Tender. Feeling, on the other hand, was in the green category along with other expressions of speculation such as Hunch, Impression, and Sense.

As a result, purple remained the memorandum of the day. At first I thought this category was a play on words like Money or Listening, meaning “making sense/making cents,” but the reality was much simpler.
