Hello Strands fans, A) I do not drive a car and B) I do not live in the US, but for me TRAFFICSIGNS The whole puzzle dedicated to TRAFFICSIGNS was always going to cause problems. Nonetheless, I managed to get through it with only one clue.
Luckily, I was able to quickly find the word BUMP and then the word TRAFFIC. After some trial and error, I found an extra letter and converted this into a TRAFFICSIGNS spangram.
Next was YIELD (called “give way” in the UK), followed by STOP in the upper left corner. These two combined with the spangram to form a gap, spelled DETOUR.
Now that the top half was clear, I needed a little help solving the other two answers in the bottom section, so I used a hint.
When the word MERGE came up, I found myself scrambling, but I knew that if I could decipher the TICUSONORTNC anagram, the puzzle would be complete. It was, of course, CONSTRUCTION.
