In Tom's Guide's opinion, Max is one of the absolute best streaming services on the market. That's because its content library is composed of quality programming, and there's plenty of it; Max has everything from HBO's prestige shows to Warner Bros. blockbusters, and even some light reality shows from Discovery.
But that impressive breadth of content has its drawbacks. That's why we've kept an eye on trending shows and movies from many major streaming services (including Max), and here are three of the most popular shows you shouldn't miss.

“The Franchise” is a hilarious satirical spin on the filmmaking business by John Brown, Armando Iannucci, and Sam Mendes. Expect sharp, dirty exchanges and absolute chaos.
The series takes us behind the scenes of Tect: a troubled superhero film trying to justify its place in a tightly controlled and unruly film world.
Mainly, the film follows Daniel, a first assistant director, as he does his best to make sure the film actually gets made while dealing with the myriad of daily problems that arise, including bickering actors and failed stunts.

“Penguin” is the latest must-see series from HBO and Max. Like “The Sopranos,” set in the world of Matt Reeves' “Batman,” this excellent series completely seals the caped crusader played by Robert Pattinson and brings one of his many enemies, Oz Cobb (Colin Farrell) aka “The Penguin,” to the fore.
The thrilling eight-episode series directly follows the events of the 2022 film, as Oz struggles to establish himself as a major player in the city's criminal underworld, exploiting the power vacuum left by Carmine Falcone's death.
