Prime Video lost two major film trilogies this month, The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. Of course, I had to pick the first film that started this iconic franchise, “The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring.”

The film follows the journey of Frodo Baggins (Elijah Wood), a young hobbit who inherits a powerful artifact known as “The One Ring” from his uncle Bilbo Baggins (Ian Holm). The One Ring was created by the Dark Lord Sauron to control the other rings of power and conquer Middle-earth. Understanding the corrupting power of the ring and the threat it poses if it falls into Sauron's hands, Frodo is ordered to destroy it. He must take the ring to the Mount of Doom.

To aid him in this adventure, Frodo is joined by his faithful friend Samwise Gamgee (Sean Astin), the wise wizard Gandalf (Ian McKellen), the human Ranger Aragorn (Viggo Mortensen), the elf Legolas (Orlando Bloom), the dwarf Gimli ( John Rhys-Davies), and Boromir the Man of Gondor (Sean Bean), a diverse group of friends known as the Fellowship of the Ring. Traveling through Middle-earth, the companions face attacks from Sauron's minions and the overwhelming power of the Ring.]

If you like twisted thrillers, “Menu” is pure fun (and the ending is a big surprise). Margot (Anya Taylor-Joy) and Tyler (Nicholas Hoult) are a couple who visit a secluded, upscale island to dine at a world-renowned restaurant called Hawthorne. The restaurant is run by esteemed chef Julian Slowik (Ralph Fiennes), who has prepared an elaborate multi-course tasting menu for a select group of wealthy patrons.

As the evening progresses, it becomes clear that the meticulously crafted menu contains sinister elements. Chef Slawik's courses are not merely indulgences, but part of a larger, twisted scheme that challenges guests' sense of morality, privilege, and self-consciousness. As the course progresses, shocking truths are revealed, and guests are increasingly put in harm's way.
