Unlike Netflix, which seems bent on canceling much of its original programming, Apple TV Plus has given the popular comedy series “Shrinking” a third season.

The good news was announced at New York Comic-Con when the show's co-creators, Jason Segel and Brett Goldstein, took the main stage (along with other performers) for a discussion centered on Season 2 of “Shrinking,” which just premiered on October 16. The announcement was made during an appearance.

The series follows therapist Jimmy Laird (Siegel), who breaks the rules and becomes deeply involved in his patients' lives after the death of his wife. When Jimmy realizes that his new approach has ethical implications, he tries to hide them from his colleagues, including his boss, Paul (Harrison Ford). on RottenTomatoes, both seasons have received fairly high ratings from critics and viewers, so this renewal is not too surprising The renewal is not that surprising. [Co-creator Bill Lawrence (“Ted Rathbos,” “Scrubs”) had this to say about the good news: “I'm very fortunate to be working on ‘Shrinking’ with the actors, writers, and talented crew.

“I'm even luckier that they're all people I'd want to spend time with anyway, and I'm so grateful for the amazing partnership and support from Apple TV Plus and Warner Bros. I'm so grateful to be able to continue making this show. Onward!” (h/t Deadline).

The news comes just days after the hit spice thriller “Slow Horses” was renewed for Season 6. However, we now know at least a little bit more about which characters will be featured, thanks to the words of Matt Charnis, head of programming for Apple TV Plus.

In a separate statement, Cherniss said of the news: “It's been wonderful to see viewers around the world fall in love with the impressive characters and rich world that Bill, Brett, and Jason have created in 'Shrinking. [We are so excited for viewers to see where life takes them next as Jimmy, Paul, Liz, Gabby, Alice, Sean, Brian, and Derek continue their touching, heartwarming, and very funny journey in Season 3,” he added.

So while we don't know what lies ahead in their next adventure, at least we won't have to say goodbye to Ford, Siegel, Jessica Williams, Krista Miller, Luke Tenney (and others) just yet.
