“Mr. Crockett” was one of the latest Hulu films I checked out recently, and it proved to be a mind-blowing thrill ride. I went in with low expectations, but to my surprise, it was just the right amount of horror to get me in the Halloween spirit.
The horror centers on Mr. Crockett (Elvis Nolasco), a sinister 1993 children's show host. He horrifyingly jumps out of the TV screen to kidnap children and brutally target abusive and neglectful parents. The story centers on Summer (Jerrica Hinton), a mother grieving the loss of her father, who struggles to reconnect with her son Major (Aiden Gavin). When their emotional closeness catches the attention of Mr. Crockett, he abducts Major to his own warped realm. The film follows Summer's relentless and terrifying journey as she attempts to rescue her son from the clutches of the macabre entertainer before it is too late.
