Two new features have been added to Google's Help Me Write

Help Me Write is an AI feature from Google Gemini that was initially included in Gmail and suggested ways to complete sentences It was later extended to Chrome earlier this year to include writing suggestions and rewrites Further updates are likely to be made for certain Gmail users

In a new Workspace Updates Blog post, Google announced two new features: first, a new option for Help Me Write to refine email drafts on the web and mobile devices; second, a new option for Help Me Write to refine emails using Gemini; and third, a new option for Help Me Write to refine emails using Gemini users choose from three options: Formalize, Elaborate, and Shorten Adding these new options to your drafts will help you complete your emails and save time For example, if you enter a draft of what you want to say, Gemini can turn it into a formal draft with a single click

The second new feature focuses on two new shortcuts: Help Me Write and Refine My Draft On mobile, when an email draft is empty, the Help Me Write option will appear in the body of the email and expand when tapped The “Refine Draft” shortcut, on the other hand, appears when an email draft contains 12 or more words and appears below the body of the email Users can select this option by swiping the screen to elaborate, formalize, detail, or shorten the draft

Note that these options are turned on by default and are not currently controlled by the administrator However, all of these features are currently available to Google Workspace users who are using the Gemini Business and Enterprise add-ons, the Gemini Education and Education Premium add-ons, and Google One AI Premium Users can use them in a web browser, Android, or iOS
